Ok, what version of debian are you running, and what version of boost do you have installed?
I'll fire up a vm and try to replicate this.

Just opened it. Everything seems to work fine.
I'm running Debian Jessie and running libboost 1.54

Ok, and did you download the source from github as a zip or git clone it?

Nevermind. Tried renaming the file again to all caps and now it worked. Probably I renamed it wrong when I first tried it. So yeah, you might want to mention in the readme to rename the file to DIABDAT.MPQ, all caps
Re: Compiler error (or personal incompetency)
Hmm, I should probably just make it work case-insensitively.
Anyway, glad you got it working

Well not everything is rainbows to be fair. My pc is a bit old, true, but moving around is mighty choppy. The application also freezes completely if I go down one level. I built it with SDL1 though. I'll try it with SDL2 soon.wheybags wrote:Hmm, I should probably just make it work case-insensitively.

Yeah, the SDL1 backend is verrrry slow.
I get around 10fps with sdl1, 600 with sdl2
I should add a note about that actually.

SDL2 is slightly faster for me, but still a bit choppy and also takes more time to load. It equally freezes when I go down one level. But well, that's 0.1, after all.
Re: Compiler error (or personal incompetency)
It's strange that it freezes when going down a level... It should freeze for a bit but then start working again.

You're right. Apparently it's just my old pc being old again. Freezes for about 1 minute for me until I can control my character again. Welp, that's it then. Looking forward for 0.2
